More Breakfast Ideas...
I love this cereal with buckwheat and quinoa called Q'ia.
Also making a Buckwheat porridge is a great idea and so nice on a cold morning.
For people not omitting nuts I love a simple smoothie:
1 cup cold almond milk
1tbs raw almond butter
1 cup raw kale
1/2 banana or a date
1tbs chia seeds or flax seeds
optional:
1 tbs of greens powder
1tbs of coconut oil
1tbs almonds ( sprouted if available to you)
Salmon and avocado and sea salt with olive oil and sprinkled ground flax on top.

WEEK TWO
For the next 5 days same as last week.
FOOD:
Nothing refined, no bread, no pasta and no packaged anything
No white foods in general
No sugar including agave, honey and maple
No dairy ( except grass fed butter)
Fruit in moderation... If you are a sugar addict it might be best to omit for a few days
or stick to berries and apples, nothing tropical
No Booze
No Nuts for the first 5 days unless you have zero weight to loose.
The idea basically is the elimination diet for the next 5days. We want to
remove all allergens from our diet.
Brown Rice, Quinoa and other true grains are ok in moderation this week. Just be mindful
and think of this week as a whole foods cleanse, meaning food in it's most original whole form.
MOVEMENT:
1 hour a day for the next 5 days. No exceptions!
more soon.

WEEKEND PLAN
One day of your weekend can be more relaxed, have a glass of wine or whatever you have been missing but just have ONE treat. Not cookies and wine. And on this day move your body for one hour. In general on your indulgence day during this time be sure your exercise that day is for real, maybe even 1.5 hours.
The other day of the weekend do a soup fast. Eat and Drink soup all day long. You can have for breakfast, lunch, snack and dinner. Also drink lots of water throughout the day.
I think the best day to do this is Sunday.
Some soup ideas...
I love this Chicken and Kale soup also there are great soups on 101cookbooks
And the Green Kitchen App has amazing soups!
For the purposes of LoveHealTrim choose a soup with no dairy and lots of veggies. Make a big pot and feast all day.
On your soup fast day, no fitness unless you feel super inspired. Resting is most likely the best idea.
More soon.

BREAKFAST
Breakfast seems to be tricky for so many folks and on winter cleanse/elimination style diet it becomes even harder.
In NY we are so lucky because we have places like the juice press and so on but most of you will be eating breakfast at home.
An easy Winter breakfast for me can be leftover quinoa, brown rice or any whole grain heated up with a little bit of nut or hemp milk and some berries or a little bit of banana and some flax or hempseeds sprinkled on top. This can be your moment for a little fruit in your day.
Another perfect breakfast is 1/2 and avocado , salmon or sardines a little olive oil and sea salt and pepper. Try it. It will give you energy!
2 eggs with greens and some avocado is great too. You may want to wait until next week to add eggs just in case eggs are an allergen for you. A word on eggs, pasture raised! Not just organic or free range. Chickens that see the sun! And ideally they come from within 100 miles of your home.
This time of year I constantly have a soup on my stove. Soups are easy to cook and are healthy and are nice to have bubbling on stove to snack on. Tonight I made chicken and kale soup and I will leave on low and have in the morning as it is so freezing here.
I have more resources and more ideas if you fancy none of these.
Wrap your mind around breakfast. Brain fuel.

LOVEHEALJANUARY
FOOD AND DRINK:
Upon waking hot water and 1/2 a lemon ( preferably organic)
Drink water ( about 3 liters a day) and as much herbal tea as you like.
1 cup of coffee a day and drink green tea if you need caffeine again in the day.
Sparkling water is fine.
For the first 5 days...
Nothing refined, no bread, no pasta and no packaged anything
No white foods in general
No sugar including agave, honey and maple
No dairy ( except grass fed butter)
Fruit in moderation... If you are a sugar addict it might be best to omit for a few days

Brown Rice, Quinoa and other true grains are ok in moderation this week. Just be mindful
and think of this week as a whole foods cleanse.
Eat lots of vegetables and proteins for breakfast, lunch and dinner and for your snacks.
Skin on chicken is fine! Eat fats and oils like avocados and olive oil quite freely. If you find yourself
properly hungry, eat a little more protein. The first few days can be hard but it is amazing how quickly our body adjusts to a super healthy diet.
It is also important that you eat.
Eat breakfast within 30 minutes of your lemon water.
Eat lunch and dinner and a snack if you are hungry.
Do not skip meals.
Listen to your body, see if you can tap into your own metabolic code, when are you hungry most and so on as oppose to mindless eating and snacking or drinking coffee and no eating at all. Get to know your body, it is rad and it is yours, all yours for this lifetime.
FITNESS:
The most important component, move your body for an hour a day for the next 6 days. It need not be complicated, it can be a focused walk to and from the subway ( free of your phone and other things, a proper power walk). You can do a dvd, go to a class whatever inspires you. One full hour, nothing less. For those who find fitness in winter impossible, go to a class, a warm one! Try Hot Yoga or Flywheel or anything sweaty. Do something different if you are unmotivated as oppose to going back to your old standbys. I am full of ideas, ask me. I have done most classes in nyc. Sit down right now and look at your calendar and write in when you will be exercising and what you will be doing.
Coming up on weekend is a one day soup cleanse, start to ponder that now.
More soon...
For those of you who not drinking is painful! I recommend Urban Moonshine Bitters with sparkling water and fresh lemon.
