Breakfast seems to be tricky for so many folks and on winter cleanse/elimination style diet it becomes even harder.
In NY we are so lucky because we have places like the juice press and so on but most of you will be eating breakfast at home.
An easy Winter breakfast for me can be leftover quinoa, brown rice or any whole grain heated up with a little bit of nut or hemp milk and some berries or a little bit of banana and some flax or hempseeds sprinkled on top. This can be your moment for a little fruit in your day.
Another perfect breakfast is 1/2 and avocado , salmon or sardines a little olive oil and sea salt and pepper. Try it. It will give you energy!
2 eggs with greens and some avocado is great too. You may want to wait until next week to add eggs just in case eggs are an allergen for you. A word on eggs, pasture raised! Not just organic or free range. Chickens that see the sun! And ideally they come from within 100 miles of your home.
This time of year I constantly have a soup on my stove. Soups are easy to cook and are healthy and are nice to have bubbling on stove to snack on. Tonight I made chicken and kale soup and I will leave on low and have in the morning as it is so freezing here.
I have more resources and more ideas if you fancy none of these.
Wrap your mind around breakfast. Brain fuel.
